Smithsonian Hosts Vaccination Clinics

On April 13, 2021, the Smithsonian Occupational Health personnel hosted a vaccination clinic at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute in Front Royal, Virginia. Approximately 150 Smithsonian staff received their first dose of the vaccine at the event. National Zoological Park Police personnel were on-site, assisting with the vaccination clinic.

More than a thousand people received their first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine at a multi-agency vaccination clinic at NMNH from April 15 to April 28. A special thank you was issued to OPS staff who assisted in this large-scale event that helped make the vaccine more widely available and was critical in controlling the spread of COVID-19.
